The Stansted Fluid Power high pressure homogenizing & cell rupture systems originated from collaboration with the National Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill, UK , in the early 1970s.

For Homogenization this energy conversion is transferred into the product increasing the surface area & reconstituting the product into smaller particle sizes. Please click here for last page.

For Cell Rupture this energy conversion is transferred into the product generating a pressure gradient across the cell, as a result the cell membrane is stressed beyond its rupture strength thereby causing fracture of the membrane & consequential release of the cell contents.
